Biography
2009-10: Jaroslav started the season with the Norfolk Admirals (AHL), allowing three goals in two starts…was one of 36 players selected to participate in the Slovakia Olympic Summer Camp in August. 2008-09: Selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning with the 168th overall selection in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft…Jaroslav’s 48-save 1-0 overtime shutout win over the Sarnia Sting on 3/6/09 represented the most stops in a shutout win in franchise history . . . rated 18th among North American goaltenders by NHL Central Scouting in their Midterm Rankings released 1/12/09 . . . selected as the top goaltender at the 2009 World Junior Hockey Championships . . . represented Slovakia at the 2009 World Junior Hockey Championships . . . earned his second shutout of the season (and career) with 31 saves 11/5/08 vs. Barrie . . . posted his first career OHL shutout with a 35-save performance 9/27/08 vs. Kitchener. 2007-08: Named the Otters Player-of-the-Year and Most Valuable Player at the Otters Summer Awards Banquet . . . rated 24th among North America goaltenders for the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by NHL Central Scouting in their mid-season rankings . . . posted his first career OHL win in a 29-save performance 9/29/07 vs. Sudbury . . . made his Otters/OHL debut 9/21/07 @ Windsor . . . selected by the Otters second overall in the 2007 CHL Import Draft.
