(Saginaw, MI) The Saginaw Spirit welcomed newly committed defenseman Alex Lepkowski to Saginaw on Tuesday. The 93-born West Seneca, New York native was chosen by the Spirit with the 66th overall pick in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection. Lepkowski played with St. Francis Prep of the MPHL last season.

“Saginaw was a great option for me and the OHL is second to none,” stated Lepkowski, “I am looking forward to developing my skills and contributing to this team.”
Lepkowski also attended the team’s rookie camp in late May. Said Lepkowski, “Camp went very well for me. The coaches and veterans were very helpful but the camp was still very competitive.”
Lepkowski, who signed with the team earlier in the month, is scheduled to attend Saginaw’s August training camp.
