In Brampton, Cody Hodgson scored three goals and then set up Anthony Peluso for the game-winner in overtime to help the Battalion to a 5-4 win over the Peterborough Petes in one of six games in the OHL playoffs in Sunday.
Hodgson scored a pair of powerplay goals and then completed the hat trick midway through the second period. Evgeny Grachev added a shorthanded marker in the second period and picked up two assists and Matt Duchene added two assists in the win.
Brett Theberge opened the scoring for the Petes on a powerplay early in the first period. Pat Daley scored early in the second period and then captain Zach Harnden scored twice in the third period, including the tying goal with less than five minutes left in regulation time.
Peluso converted a pass from Hodgson 54 seconds into overtime to end the game and give the Battalion a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference series.
Jason Missiaen was the third star after he made 59 saves for the Petes. Thomas McCollum allowed four goals on 13 shots for the Battalion.
Ottawa 67’s 6, Niagara IceDogs 2
In Ottawa, Anthony Nigro and Corey Cowick each had two goals and an assist to help the 67’s to a 6-2 win over the Niagara IceDogs to tie their series at one game each.
Tyler Toffoli and Cody Lindsay also scored for the 67’s while Dylan MacEachern and Alex Pietrangelo replied for the IceDogs, who host the next three games of the series.
Belleville Bulls 3, Sudbury Wolves 2
In Sudbury, Belleville Bulls’ captain Eric Tangradi scored two goals - including the game-winner in the final minute of the second period - and added an assist to lead his team to a 3-1 win over the Wolves.
Luke Pither also scored for the Bulls, who lead the series 2-1.
Daniel Maggio replied for the Wolves.
Windsor Spitfires 6, Owen Sound Attack 1
In Windsor, Taylor Hall and Eric Wellwood both scored two goals to help the Spitfires to a 6-1 win over the Owen Sound Attack.
Dale Mitchell had a goal and two assists and former Attack forward Lane MacDermid also scored to put Windsor to within one win of a sweep in their opening round series.

Saginaw Spirit 3, Guelph Storm 2
In Guelph, Jack Combs scored the winning goal on a third period penalty shot to lift the Saginaw Spirit to a 3-2 win over the Storm.
Combs opened the scoring on a powerplay midway through the first period and T.J. Brodie counted early in the second for the Spirit, who lead the series 2-0.
Brandon Buck and Tyler Melancon were the Guelph scorers.
Plymouth Whalers 3, Sarnia Sting 2 (OT)
In Sarnia, Matt Caria completed a natural hat trick with the overtime winner to power the Plymouth Whalers to a 3-2 win over the Sting.
Marcus Pepe and Matt Martin staked the Sting to a two-goal lead a little more than five minutes into the game before Caria responded later in the opening period. He added a powerplay goal in the final seconds of the second period and scored the winner 5:20 into overtime to even the series at two games each.
