In Belleville, Bryan Cameron and Brandon Mashinter each scored two goals to pace the Bulls to a 6-1 win over the Sudbury Wolves in one of two OHL playoff games on Monday.
Shawn Lalonde and Cody Alcock also scored and Luke Pither added four assists in the win, which gave Belleville a 4-2 win in the opening round series. The Bulls will open the second round of the playoffs at home on Thursday against either the Niagara IceDogs or Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors.
Mike Murphy made 27 saves for Belleville and captain Eric Tangradi picked up a pair of assists in the win.
Akim Aliu snapped the shutout bid on a powerplay with 23 seconds left in the game. Andrew Loverock made 44 saves for the Wolves.
Ottawa 67’s 4, Niagara IceDogs 0
In Ottawa, Thomas Kiriakou scored a pair of goals in the second period and Adam Courchaine had a 32 save shutout to help the 67’s to a 4-0 win over the Niagara IceDogs. Ottawa tied the series at three games each and host Game 7 on Tuesday with the winner advancing to play either the Belleville Bulls or Brampton Battalion.
Corey Cowick scored a pair of powerplay goals in the third period and Tyler Toffoli and Julien Demers each had a pair of assists in the win.
Jeremy Smith made 46 saves for the IceDogs.
