Fr. Zorzi served as President and Chairman on the St. Michael’s Majors’ Board of Directors, and Team Governor, and was a great friend and supporter of the Majors organization.

Fr. Zorzi joined the St. Michael’s Majors hockey club in the summer of 2000, after being appointed President of St. Michael’s College School. He was instrumental in the successful restructuring of the Majors hockey club, and sale of the franchise to school alumnus and Majors owner, Eugene Melnyk. Fr. Zorzi was an integral part of the Majors organization, and he will be greatly missed.

The Majors will hold a brief tribute and moment of silence prior to the start of the home game tonight against the Oshawa Generals, and Majors players will wear black arm bands at tonight’s game to honour and pay tribute to Fr. Zorzi’s strong affiliation with the team.
