Waterloo Wolves 3, Niagara Falls 2
Josh Eldridge of Niagara Falls opened the scoring early in the first period putting the Waterloo Wolves down 1-0. Thanks to three consecutive power play goals by Waterloo, the Wolves went up 3-1 before Niagara Falls got back to within one on a late second period goal by Taylor Beck. That was not enough as Waterloo shut Niagara down in the third period to hold onto a 3-2 victory. Scoring for the Wolves were Michael Halmo with his tournament leading 6th and 7th, and Jonathan Jutzi.
Mississauga IceDogs 2, Gloucester Rangers 0
Mississauga started the game off with a goal by Casey Cizikas at the 4:20 mark of the first period, while Keegan Witton picked up an assist. The game remained close until Gloucester failed to capitalize on a power play in the third period and Andrew Agozzino went down and scored shorthanded to put the Mississauga IceDogs up by two, which hurt any chances of a Rangers comeback.
Rochester Americans 5, Toronto Young Nats 2
The Rochester Americans showed up ready for this game, scoring the first four goals of the game. Joe Zarbo scored 3:17 into the game and David Shields scored on the power play minutes later. Brett Barton and Kyle Quick both scored in the second period for Rochester to make the game 4-0. Toronto and Rochester traded tallies later in the game with Todd Kozak scoring for the Nats, Connor Stokes scoring for the Americans and Jeff Skinner rounding out the scoring for the Nats, as they were defeated 5-2.
Thunder Bay Kings 3, TPH Thunder 2
Mackus Perrier of the Thunder Bay Kings gave his team the early lead by scoring 2:24 into the opening period. TPH tied the game with a power play goal by Daniel Broussard, however Luke Judson helped the Kings regain their lead by a goal. Kyle Lapenskie scored what would turn out to be the game winner on the power play late in the second period to give Thunder Bay a 3-1 lead. Logan Romano made it close, scoring shorthanded early in the third, but it was not enough as Thunder Bay held on for the 3-2 victory.
Greater Kingston Predators 6 Mississauga Rebels 4
Jordan Mayer and Corey Bureau scored twice for Kingston while Taylor Carnevale scored two goals for Mississauga in a very tight game. The Greater Kingston Predators held on and scored an empty net goal with one second remaining by Taylor Hall to win 6-4. Scoring Kingston's other goal was David McMullen, while David Beaumont and Bennet Behrend rounded out the scoring for Mississauga.
Brampton Battalion 3, Toronto Jr Canadians 2 OT
Toronto Jr Canadians struck first with Ryan O'Rielly scoring on a power play. Andy Bathgate of the Battalion scored the only goal of the second period to tie the game at a goal a piece. In the third period, the teams traded power play goals, the first coming from the Canadians' Jordan Escott. Ryan Lopes replied for Brampton tying the game at two, sending it into overtime. Tyler Randell scored the game winner for the Brampton Battalion with only 0:16 seconds left in overtime for the victory.
London Knights 2, Burlington Eagles 1
The London Knights beat the Burlington Eagles 2-1 in a very close game. Burlington opened the scoring early in the first period with a goal by Brett Flemming. London scored twice in the second period with a goal by Dean Zapishny on the power play, and Rob Flick scoring the game winner with 0:15 seconds left in the second, also on the power play.
Whitby Wildcats 3, Windsor Spitfires 1
After a scoreless first period, Zack Kassian of Windsor opened the scoring on the power play at 7:44 of the second period. Whitby answered with two quick goals 39 seconds apart to take a 2-1 lead into the third period. Whitby's Brett Mackie sealed the victory at 13:39 with an empty net goal.
