Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Mark Visentin of the Niagara IceDogs is the CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending October 4. In two starts Visentin stopped 97 of 101 shots faced with a goals-against-average of 2.01 and a save percentage of .960 with one victory.

Calvin Pickard of the Seattle Thunderbirds and Jake Allen of the Montreal Juniors were also nominated for the award this week. Pickard was outstanding Friday night making 57 saves to earn the 1-0 shutout win as first star of the game over the Tri-City Americans, while Allen posted a 1.50 goals-against-average and a .936 save percentage in two wins including one shutout victory.
