Doherty commits to Kingston
The Kingston Frontenac's are proud to to announce that Taylor Doherty has commited to play in Kingston.
Doherty, a 6'6 215lb right shooting defenceman was taken twenty-ninth overall in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection. Last season, Doherty played 70 games for the Cambridge Min-Midgets, scoring 10 goals, and 37 assists for 47 points with 169 minutes in penalties.
"Taylor Doherty is a solid OHL prospect. He's a big mobile defenceman with a mix of skill and toughness, " said Larry Mavety, Director of Hockey Operations.
"We look forward to seeing Taylor develop into a solid OHL defenceman over the next four years, " he added.
Doherty will be attending Grade 11 at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School in Kingston.
