Curtis Crombeen Commits to Owen Sound

The Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League is please to announce that they have signed Curtis Crombeen, their 1st round selection (9th overall) in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection.

During the 2008/2009 season, the 5’11, 160lb Sarnia, ON. native recorded 11 goals and 43 assists for 60 points to go along with 88 Penalty Minutes in 69 games played. When the Lambton Jr. Sting were eliminated, Crombeen joined the Jr.B Sarnia Legionnaires for their playoff run and picked up 1 goal and 4 assists in 17 games played.

Crombeen is described as a “very effective puck moving defenseman.” OHL Central Scouting describes Crombeen as having a “very smooth stride, quickness and overall great mobility. At times his skating almost looks effortless. Crombeen has to be considered one of the best puck movers in this years draft. He handles the puck with confidence and composure.”

“This is a great day for our organization” stated Attack General Manager Dale DeGray. DeGray went on to say that, “signing a player like Curtis is a special thing. He’s a big part of our team now and moving forward.”
