Chris Tierney's late third period goal proved to be the difference for the London Knights as they take game three 3-2.

The teams went scoreless in the first period with the posts helping both goalies.

In the second Brett Ritchie netted his third of the playoffs. There was a scramble in front of the Knights net and Michael Houser was unable to get a glove on the puck. Ritchie found the puck and put it in to the open net making it 1-0 Niagara.

It took the Knights 18 seconds to respond. Kevin Raine's shot hit the post and the rebound landed on a wide open Max Domi who had half the net to bury his fourth of the playoffs.

Just over eight minutes later Freddie Hamilton was the beneficiary of a bouncing puck that eluded the Knights captain Jarred Tinordi. Hamilton was left on a partial break. His shot just snuck under Houser's blocker arm.

The Knights evened things up once again before the end of the second. Vladislav Namestnikov had control of the puck behind the IceDogs net on London's fourth power play of the night. He passed to a partially cover Austin Watson in the slot. Watson managed to get his stick on it defecting it above Mark Visentin tying the game 2-2.

Chris Tierney won a draw back to Olli Maatta in the IceDogs zone. Maatta slapped a shot towards the net and Tierney got a piece of it with his stick deflecting it past a stunned Visentin with just 3:28 remaining in the third. London would hold the 3-2 lead and win game three taking a 2-1 series lead. Watch the highlights
