Dakota Mermis commits to London Knights

LONDON, ONTARIO: General Manager Mark Hunter announced today that the team has signed defenseman Dakota Mermis to an Ontario Hockey League contract.  Mermis, a 12th round pick of the London Knights in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection, spent the first part of this season at the University of Denver.  He was also a part of the USHL’s 2011-2012 Green Bay Gamblers who went on to win the Clark Cup last season.  London Knights forward Alex Broadhurst was also a member of that championship team.  Mermis will wear #44 for the London Knights.
